Talk: Brain commonalities across developmental disorders

Professor Michael Ullman

Professor Ullman’s main area of expertise is on brain and language, including memory and specific language impairment.  He is Professor in the Department of Neuroscience at Georgetown University, USA, with secondary appointments in the Departments of Linguistics, Psychology and Neurology. He is co-director of the Center for the Brain Basis of Cognition (CBBC), Director of the Brain and Language Lab, and Director of the Georgetown EEG/ERP Laboratory. http://neuro.georgetown.edu/faculty/ullman.htm

Keynote Speaker: Professor Richard Frackowiak, Head of the Department of Clinical Neurosciences at Lausanne University.
The Human Brain Project - the role of advanced neuroimaging

The day aims to showcase the research of the many Neuroscientists based within the University and will promote discussion, foster new collaborations and strengthen existing relationships. There will also be a presentation from a funder to discuss neuroscience funding opportunities as well as oral and poster presentations from members of the NRI.
